STAGE SCREEN AND IN BETWEEN WITH HELEN is going into its tenth year!  I go on location to bring you exciting TV shows interviewing talent on the Red Carpet or on movie sets; celebrities, independent filmmakers, musicians, artists, fundraisers for charity galas and worthy causes, festivals, fashion shows, theater, cooking, and things 'in between'. Sometimes I bring the camera on to projects I am working on as an actress for some behind-the-scenes action.

One of my upcoming films is The Forest Hills which will feature Shelley Duvall (The Shining, Popeye) who is making her big screen comeback after a twenty year hiatus.  I play Judge Carpenter who decides a troublesome character's fate.

I am reprising my role as The Boss in the dramatic comedy, High Hopes 3, playing a lead role as the owner of a taxi garage and adversary of a driver who gets on my nerves.  This will hit the film festivals any day now and may be streaming.  Good Friday-Mob Comedy, the feature film, finds me playing a nun/mother superior in a mob influenced parish, in editing presently.

In 2015 I performed with a world class rock star in a show that is Broadway bound. The staged autobiographical story of Double Platinum record recording artist, Eddie Money, called "TWO TICKETS TO PARADISE". I am thrilled and honored to have been cast as Eddie's mom when he was a teenager. I am privileged to sing an original song written by Eddie called, " I'll Always Want The World For You" which explains his journey. This play is under the direction of the accomplished, John Blenn. The rest of the cast is very talented and a joy to work with. I was given permission to interview Eddie Money, the Director, and the cast behind- the -scenes for Stage Screen and In Between with HELEN. This show aired on Cablevision and can be seen now on YouTube (as can most of my shows) by going to the Stage Screen and In Between with HELEN page on YouTube and scrolling for the desired link to the show or individual interviews. Show dates were January 16, 17, 24, 25 2015 at the Madison Theatre at Molloy College in Rockville Center, L.I., New York. www.MadisonTheatreNY. Sadly, Eddie has passed on before his ambition to stage his life story on Broadway was realized.

"High Hopes 2: A New Beginning" (writer/director, Dennis Cabrini) was shown at the NewFilmmakers New York Screening Series and Festival. Dennis plays a struggling actor who drives a cab to make ends meet but has several things going wrong.. one of which is having a tough employer, THE BOSS, played by yours truly who makes his life miserable. He has to fight THE BOSS in the ring to get his job back after she fires him! I'm lucky to be part of this with several old actor friends. We won the Audience Favorite Award here. The excitement grew when some of the cast (including Helen) traveled to Las Vegas for the Hollywood Dreamz / Action On Film (AOF) Festival Awards where HH2 won Best Ensemble Cast (Feature).

"Good Friday - Mob Comedy" (writer/director, Sal Rinella) the short film, screened at the Winter Film Awards 2017 Indie Film Festival and what a funny flick it is. Lots of local good actors are in it as welI as some 'Sopranos' former cast members. I play the role of THE REPORTER and was so happy to be invited to cover the filming of the parade and scenes at Corona Park for my TV show. Also just played THE REPORTER in "Anything Goes" (Cole Porter) in a Long Island stage production.

I wrapped filming a role as Grandma (the mother of Yvonne Jung) in an independent feature film entitled, "STUFF", directed by Suzanne Guacci. This feature deals with several life issues and is now available On Demand and many outlets i.e. Amazon, ITunes, Vimeo, Direct TV, Dish, YouTube, etc.

My role as the 'Checkbook Lady' in the sci-fi feature film CURTAIN (now called THE GATEWAY) brought me face to face with the rest of the cast at the NY screening where it won Best Original Screenplay and more.

I performed a lead role as Marion Hollander, staged by the Long Beach Theater Guild (LBTG) Long Island, NY in "Don't Drink The Water". The story revolves around a husband, wife (Marion Hollander), and child vacationing in Europe behind the iron curtain who must suddenly seek refuge in the American Embassy. This comedy was written by Woody Allen, produced by David Merrick and performed on Broadway originally in 1966. I brought my camera to a rehearsal to let my viewers see what goes on before the show goes up!

Currently, I am filming "The Golden Phoenix" (writer - Ralph Ciardulli) where I play the mother of actress Michelle Ciardulli. Interesting story with some plot surprises - so not saying too much about it now!

Why me?

I was trained in the theater by Gene Frankel and at HB Studio by Sandy Dennis. Various NYC on-camera classes rounded out my experience. Graduating from modeling school at a young age allowed me do fashion shows and print work while I was still in high school. As an adult, I was Anne Heche's horseback riding and jumping stunt double on the soap "Another World" and had appearances on "One Life To Live", "Guiding Light", and "General Hospital". I have worked on sets with Cher, Michael Douglas, Charlie Sheen, Chaz Palminteri, Robert DeNiro, Cybill Shepherd (stand-in), to name a few. My coaching of actor Brandon Hannan (a young teen at the time) helped him to land the role of Vito Spatafore Jr. on The Sopranos. Brandon had one-on-one scenes with James Gandolfini and Frank Vincent. (May they rest in peace) portraying an unruly goth.  This was a stretch for Brandon who was an athlete and honor student in real life! I had the privilege of being on set with Brandon, sitting with the producers with my own head set on, during taping and the ability to coach him there if he wanted. Brandon was a Contender for a Guest Star Emmy Award as Outstanding Male Actor in a Primetime Drama Series and also a SAG Award for that role.  I accompanied Brandon Hannan as he walked the Red Carpet at the Shrine Auditorium in Hollywood at The Emmys.  I am especially proud of one of my indie films called "Taught To Hate" which was made to help stop hate crimes and stop bullying.  This won awards internationally at film festivals. In this Academy Award qualifying short film, I was a lead actress, producer, and did the publicity as well. We brought this film to churches and schools to screen and open communications among people. On the Red Carpet for that film at the Kodak theater and Grauman's Egyptian theater in Hollywood I began seeing that people were ready to listen to its message. I have done dinner theater for years, plays, commercials, music videos, sang with a Doo-Wop band who opened for major acts, a talent judge on Disney property and in the Hamptons. I am SAG-AFTRA , a member of NYWIFT and LIFTF. I AM MADAME VERA! Currently singing oldies at various Long Island restaurants, acting in stage plays, indie films, and doing my TV show, STAGE SCREEN AND IN BETWEEN WITH HELEN. Check me out on IMDB.
